For crunch time

The deadline is tomorrow. The plan stops being ambitious and starts being useful.

Crunch mode, on purpose

Crunch is one of the four planning voices — the emergency sprint. It takes the time genuinely left on the clock, cuts priorities to what can actually fit, and lays out focus blocks with just enough break to keep you standing.

It runs on the same engine as every other mode: timed blocks, one clarifying question if the input is vague, and a check-in afterwards — so even a cram session becomes data that improves the next plan.

After the fire drill

When the exam passes, the next day does not continue the panic: you report what happened, and planning returns to normal pacing. Streaks keep the recovery honest, freezes absorb the sleep debt day.

The app runs in the browser on your phone or laptop — guests get free AI messages with no account, so “it is 11 pm and tomorrow went badly” does not require signing up first.

Frequently asked questions

Is cramming really what this is for?
Crunch mode is the emergency-sprint voice for tight deadlines: it paces the hours you genuinely have left and cuts to the priorities that fit. Long-term planning is the other modes’ job.
What if my deadline is tomorrow morning?
Give it the deadline and what is being tested — the plan lays out focus blocks for the time actually remaining, with breaks that keep the session usable.
Is crunch mode free?
Yes — it is one of the four planning voices in the free core: core planning, focus timer and streaks are free.

Locked In was designed around the students most planners fail: the ones who freeze at the start, juggle classes with deadlines, study in the wrong hours, or meet their deadline the night before. Pick the situation that sounds like yours — the pages below explain exactly how the app handles it.
