Goals with deadline pacing

A goal is the destination; daily plans are the steps. Goals keep the steps pointed at the date.

Plans come and go, the goal stays

A goal is a persistent target — “chem final prep by June 12” — that survives every daily plan. Each day’s schedule automatically contributes blocks toward it, and the app tracks how many goal blocks are done out of the total.

Deadline math runs in both directions: from the date backwards to required pace, and from your actual progress forwards to what is realistic. Falling behind changes the pacing, not the goal.

Why goals beat a task list

A task list has no opinion about time: it cannot tell you that you are three days behind. A goal with a deadline can — and the AI uses that signal when it builds tomorrow.

Goals live inside the same free core as plans and the timer, and remain visible across modes and check-ins.

Frequently asked questions

How is a goal different from a daily plan?
A goal is the multi-day outcome with a deadline; a plan is one day’s schedule. Every plan contributes blocks toward your active goal and updates its progress.
What happens when I fall behind a goal?
Deadline math re-paces the remaining days against your real progress — the plan gets honest about what fits instead of stacking overdue work.
Are goals free?
Yes — goals are part of the free core: core planning, focus timer and streaks are free, with some advanced features possibly paid later.
